It was homecoming this past Saturday at Wang Field and many alumni and students were out to see the Engineers take on the Sheepshead Bay Sharks. The first half was a good one for Tech with the score 17-8 following long touchdown runs by Tristan Brown behind a solid performance by the offensive line. The second half would prove to be a much different story.
The Tech defense surrendered 24 unanswered points in the second half. The Tech offense failed to capitalize on red zone possessions and Elijah Rueda had an interception to stop another Tech drive. When all was said and done, Sheepshead Bay defeated the Engineers 32-17.
There was a student and alumni BBQ following the game and former coach Joe Cuzzocrea had his bronze bust placed next to Adam J. Cirillo in the scoreboard area.
The Engineers begin a month long road schedule this Saturday at Clinton High School in the Bronx.
