Brooklyn Tech came from behind again in the 4th quarter for a tough division win in Canarsie this past Sunday by a score of 21-20. In a rare double header, the Junior Varsity also picked up a win against Canarsie.

Brooklyn Tech scored on their first two offensive possessions with Elijah Rueda (7-13, 169, 3 TDs, 1 Int) throwing a 58 yard strike to Alpha Gamby and a 60 yard catch and run by Donovan Ortiz. After Canarsie tied the score in the third quarter with an interception returned for a touchdown, the Tech defense responded with a forced fumble by Ayinde Pope that was recovered by Francis Cawog. Brian Gill had 13 tackles with 3 for a loss and added 14 yards rushing on 3 carries. Gill now has 59 tackles (12 for loss) in five games.

Tech got the ball back and Rueda found Gamby again with a 21 yard touchdown pass. Tech was able to run out the clock at the end of the fourth quarter for the win. Tech improves to 4-1 and hosts Campus Magnet next Sunday.

Michael Marcovici found Jake Vasapolli in the back of the end zone for the JV’s go ahead score. The JV will play Campus Magnet next Saturday
