Stephen Thomas was hired by the Eagles last week.

Last week, former Princeton Tigers linebacker coach Stephen Thomas was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as a Defensive Quality Control Coach.  Thomas played for Coach Jim DiBenedetto at Brooklyn Tech and his defensive coordinator was Jerome Brown.  Like many of Coach Brown’s defensive players, Thomas went on to play college football (University of Buffalo).

Thomas is the second Tech Football Alum to be hired by an NFL team in the last few years.  Michael Derice is currently an Area Scout for the Indianapolis Colts.  Derice was previously the Director of Football Operations at Stony Brook University where he also played defensive back.  Derice played quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back at Brooklyn Tech.
