After a week of hot temperatures in Brooklyn, the Engineers have made their way to the mountains of Equinunk in Pennsylvania. Over the next five days, the team will practice without distractions in cooler temperatures and on grass. The relationship between Brooklyn Tech and Camp Equinunk and Blue Ridge goes back to the late seventies, after Tech originally trained in East Hampton, NY.
The goal of camp is to get away from the city. The players share the unique experience of team bonding and working towards something that is collectively bigger than any of the individuals involved. The training that the team did throughout the winter and spring, along with the program’s leadership curriculum, will be needed to get through the grind of a five day training camp.
Position battles are under way. Through one week, the QB candidates Minju Kim and Michael Marcovici are both having a solid pre-season. However, the pads are now on and the competition is heating up. The 2015 Engineers are young, but do not lack experience. Stay tuned for more pics and videos from camp.
