Brooklyn Tech Defeats Jefferson 22-16

Brooklyn Tech defeated Jefferson High School 22-16 this past Saturday in a close contest similar to the last five games between the historic Brooklyn rivals.

Jefferson ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown, but Tech stuck with a powerful run game in which Amani Murphy, Jr. ran for 184 yards on 26 carries.  Jefferson scored a field goal late in the fourth quarter that could have ended the game, but Tech stormed back with a 40 yard completion from Minju Kim to Maxim Nelich that led to an Amani Murphy touchdown.  Interceptions by Murphy and Captain John Hemminger sealed the victory for Tech.
