Brooklyn Tech College Wrap-Up


Here’s an update on how Tech alumni are doing in college football after the start of the NCAA season. The season has already featured one game with Engineers playing each other, and there will be another game with Technites on both teams this weekend.

Ithaca (2-0)

Tristan Brown (Class of 2014) had 8 rushes for 36 yards in Ithaca’s season opener against Union on Sept. 5. Against Hobart this past weekend, he had 13 rushes for 25 yards and a touchdown. The Bombers move on to their conference schedule next weekend against Alfred (with Donovan Ortiz on the Saxons.) Brian Gill is on Ithaca’s JV roster and their first game is this weekend.

LIU Post (3-0)

Deon Mash (Class of 2014) had two receptions for 8 yards against East Stroudsberg on Sept. 3. He saw playing time against St. Anselm. The Pioneers take on Stonehill this weekend.

Princeton (1-0)

James Gales (Class of 2013) had two tackles and an assist in the Tigers’ season opener against Lafayette. Princeton faces Lehigh at home this weekend.

Fordham (2-1)

Lawrence Menyah (Class of 2015) had an assist in Fordham’s season opener against Army on Sept. 4. Kyvaune Brammer (Class of 2013) also saw playing time in the game. Brammer also played against Villanova (with Thomas Plonski on the Wildcats’ roster) in the second game of the season, which is Fordham’s only loss this season. Menyah recorded a tackle and an assist against Columbia this past weekend. Fordham faces Monmouth this Saturday.


Alfred (3-0)

Alfred State is undefeated in the first three weeks of the season. Donovan Ortiz (Class of 2015) is on the Saxons’ roster.

Stony Brook (2-0)

After the Seawolves’ season opener against Toledo was cancelled at halftime due to rain, they defeated Central Connecticut and New Hampshire. Alpha Gamby (Class of 2015) is on Stony Brook’s roster. The Seawolves take on William & Mary this weekend.

Villanova (2-1)

Thomas Plonski (Class of 2013) has not seen any playing time this season for Villanova, after appearing in two games and recording 2 tackles and an assist last season. Villanova plays Penn this weekend.
