Mahmoud Shabana was named to the National Football Foundation Elite 11 team by the New York City chapter of the organization. He joins past Brooklyn Tech winners Benjamin Haye, Jeff Bunditwong and Lawrence Menyah. The award includes a $1000 college scholarship. Mahmoud was given the award at the New York Athletic Club on Tuesday April 6th. Former New York Giants General Manager Ernie Accorsi was on hand to give a special award to New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Other notable guests included Rutgers Head Coach Chris Ash, former Rutgers Head Coach Kyle Flood, Fordham Head Coach Andrew Breiner, and New York Jets Head Coach Todd Bowles.
