After a tough 20-14 loss to Midwood in this year’s season opener, Brooklyn Tech returned this week with a bounce back win against John F. Kennedy High School, 22-20.
Brooklyn Tech took an 8-6 lead at the half after #3 Michael Marcovici found #10 Deschanel Burton on 4th down for a 34 yard TD. (photo below)
After JFK took the lead at 20-14 in the beginning of the fourth quarter, Tech was faced with a dilemma similar to the one they had a week before. Against Midwood, the Engineers were down 20-14 with 5:00 minutes remaining and went 18 plays down to the Midwood 10 yard line and were unable to tie the game. This week, the tech offense drove down the field and scored with 15 seconds remaining on a run by QB Michael Marcovici. With the game tied, Marcovici found #47 John Hemminger in the end zone for the game winning two-point conversion. (photo below)
Tech takes on New Utrecht in the Adam J. Cirillo Classic, this Saturday September 24th at 12pm.
